Top Web Design Services to Grow Your Business While You Sleep

As soon as you made that first click to view this article, you immediately made a value judgment about 5K | Formerly Conklin Media based on our web page. If you’re reading this, obviously, you didn’t click the back button straight away. That means we’re doing something right.

People form instant first impressions of businesses based on their websites, which are increasingly serving as the first point of contact between businesses and their target audience/leads. If your website makes a poor impression, they’re bound to immediately click away. If your website makes a good impression, on the other hand, you’re likely to gain customers and leads.

A lot of this has to do with your overall website design. Surprisingly to some, your conversion rates can be drastically affected by the quality and strategy behind your web design. It doesn’t matter how good your business performs in the real world—if it doesn’t hold up in the digital, you run the risk of losing customers and failing to gain new ones.

With a good website design, however, just the opposite can occur: once you’ve laid a solid digital foundation, you’ll be surprised at how much your business can grow, even while you are quite literally asleep.

Improving Your Web Design

Below are some fantastic web design functions that will do all the work for you! Read through these and implement them on your website as soon as possible.

The Importance of the Home Page

Of all the different pages of your website, the home page is almost always the most important one. If your home page isn’t good, viewers are likely to click away before even giving the rest of your website a shot. So make your home page shines.

It’s important to provide useful information on your home page without overwhelming your viewers and potential leads. It’s common for a the home page of a business website to include eye-catching images of products offered or services being performed as well as a brief description of the company and what it offers. Links to more information across the site appear throughout the page to help site visitors better locate what they need.

Having a clean, easy-to-read design is very important for this information. Address your audience directly on this page, just as I’m doing here, to give your website a personal quality and make your audience feel welcome.

Make Your Website User-Friendly

I can’t stress enough the importance of making sure your website is user-friendly. No one likes a confusing and difficult-to-navigate webpage. No one. Don’t do it. You want your viewers to feel welcomed and nurtured when they’re on your website so they’re more likely to turn into solid leads that will increase your conversion rate, not click away because of a confusing and frustrating webpage.

So, before publishing your website, get others to review it. You can invest in an expert web design company, use a tool that analyzes website functionality, or even just ask a few friends to make sure they understand everything and aren’t experiencing any difficulties. You need to make sure your website makes sense outside of your own head.

Calls to action, or CTAs, are another important function of building your website that will translate into establishing leads and earning a higher profit. CTAs are just what they sound like: they encourage your viewers and leads to take action while on your website that will nurture them into prime leads or nudge them to become active customers. CTAs typically take the form of a stylized button or link that contains specific, targeted text.

You can have several different types of CTAs on your website that call to different people. Some CTAs, for example, might be directed toward new leads and others to those that are well-established. In this way, it’s important that each of your CTAs is thoughtfully and strategically placed in the part of the website that is most likely to attract the audience for which the call is intended.

Helpful Methods and Tools

These methods and tools are absolutely essential to your business. Implementing them will forever change how you see your marketing, website, and ROI.

A/B Testing

A/B testing, otherwise known as split testing, is one of my favorite methods for testing the effectivity of a website. It’s a great way to ensure your website and other marketing services are performing to their utmost in terms of audience response.

The goal of A/B testing is to isolate and distinguish specific changes to a webpage or other material and determine its effect. This method allows you to directly test variations of your selected material against an original so that you can accumulate meaningful data.

In terms of testing web pages, you first create a copy of your original “control” page and modify it, creating your “variation” page. The change can be as minuscule or drastic as you desire. Through A/B testing, then, visitors to your website are shown one or the other page in a random “split”—hence the alternative name. The activity data and conversion rates are then gathered from each.

By using this tool, you are able to see clearly the direct impact that any change you make has on the efficiency of your website and conversion rates. This takes some of the scary and time-consuming guesswork out of the process, making A/B testing an invaluable tool for seeing what audiences respond to.

Website Optimization

Website optimization is a popular and effective web design service. If your website is a little outdated or slow, I recommend you look into this. Nowadays, everything is fast, fast, fast. The age of dial-up internet has long been in its grave, and we expect our connections to be speedy and efficient. If your website is a bit slowed down, however, many viewers will pick up on this. Even if users are interested in your business itself, slow web pages drive away traffic—and you definitely don’t want to frustrate potential customers away from your website.

By hiring a website design company to help clean and speed things up a bit, you will be doing a great service to both your website and business as a whole.
